Ingredients
– 2 cans solid white albacore tuna, drained
– 2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni or pasta shells
– 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
– 1 cup milk or heavy cream
– 2 tbsp butter
– 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
– 1 tsp garlic powder
– 1 tsp onion powder
– 1/2 tsp salt
– 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
1️⃣ Boil pasta until al dente, drain, and set aside.
2️⃣ Make a roux by melting butter in a skillet, stirring in flour, and cooking for 1 minute.
3️⃣ Whisk in milk slowly, stirring constantly until thickened.
4️⃣ Add cheese and seasonings (garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper) and stir until smooth.
5️⃣ Combine tuna and pasta in the sauce, stirring until well mixed.
6️⃣ Serve warm, garnished with extra cheese or fresh herbs.
